The Goodman Tree
This tree was constructed, sculpted, painted and jeweled by over 30 children at Goodman Community Center’s 2015 Summer Art program under the guidance of Artist in Residence David Kelley-Daithi. Through creating their version of an African baobab tree, kids studied symbolism, culture, math and science, and also sold leaves to save money for Goodman’s after school programs.
