Mountain is the theme of the new arts festival in the Azores and the first international photo contest from MiratecArts.
The surface of planet Earth is 24% mountainous; 10% of the world population lives in mountainous terrain. MiratecArts presents an International Photography Contest under the theme of "Mountain". Landscape, culture and mountain life is what the organization intends to show, and the goal of this contest, that rewards participants.
Finalists will take part in an exhibition on the island of Pico, Azores. The national winner receives a prize that includes transport, accommodation and participation in Mountain Pico Festival (January 2015). The international winner receives local transport, accommodation and support on the island of Pico, if decides to participate in the festival, as well as an opportunity to exhibit a solo collection.
Conditions of participation: - Participation is open to any person over 21 years old. - Works must be submitted until December 31, 2014, via email@example.com - The photographs presented, maximum of three per participant, may be in color, black-and-white or sepia. Must be original unmanipulated except for color transformation for B & W or sepia, tweaking contrast, brightness and reframing. - Photos should be submitted in digital format JPG or JPEG, with dimension of at least 2000 pixels on the longest dimension. - Photographs should be accompanied by a maximum of 1200 characters (without spaces) specification, according to the contest theme.
The message for entering the competition should include: - The title of the photo / s; - The identification of the location and date the image was taken; - Name and phone number of the photographer.
